WarA Poem by ChelseaA poem about war.War Pick us apart, piece by piece Examine it carefully; we are all people People with an evil tendency, A little argument followed by an all out battle? Why can’t it be solved over a civil cup of tea? Children flee for their lives; Fight the gasmasks forced onto them Woman hidden away; Live in fear of the horrors coming Men and boys are destined to fight, No choice, no say They unwillingly give their lives to an unworthy cause One man down, a million to go Both sides crying from the loss, Eternally emotionally shattered But no, this is not enough to stop war Blood soaked grounds, Stepping over bodies of your country and those that aren’t Deafening sounds of explosions followed by the screams of pain Taking lives that aren’t yours to take, Playing a “kill for kill “game Can’t anybody see the child like reality?
