But a Moment

But a Moment

A Poem by chelly

In the vast complexity of time and life,
I was but a flicker of moment in yours.
and when your long days fade to night;
and the winds of time blow away all that lingers
and darkness encircles that which once was
so too, will the memories of us fade
those whispered words of sweet will float away
as time darkens the heart for the love that never was
Every thing will cease to matter.
For in the vast complexity of time and life,
I was but a flicker of a moment in yours

This seems to have a lot of honesty in it. It's raw and realistic. Nice job. :)
