I look in the mirror

I sit and stare

How did that sparkle get there

I don't remember being 

Energetic, don't remember

That brightness, wondering when

My look changed

As I stare at myself 

I wonder when I started

To grow into me

Where this confident girl stands

A scared girl stood

I remember how I felt 

When I was shy,

When I hid

Now I want to be seen

Want to be heard

Finally breaking loose of chains

Wanting to be myself

I sit here and wonder

How this change took place

What did I do to change myself

Then i remember

All the love in my life

The guy who loves me 

For exactly who I am

The friends who stayed with me

All the people who I have

But mostly the guy i love

He has helped me become

Who I am today

Sticking by me every step

He never let go

He believed in me

He held me up

That is the biggest reason i fell

The reason I let him in

He is more to me than a friend

He is my everything

My one life line

Every time I think of him

I feel like i'm floating

Want to always be there

Want to give him as much

As he has given me

I reach my hand out

Just as he reaches his out

We meet half way

Two hearts connecting into one

He is my country boy

He is my other half

I will never leave

Forever will be with him

A bit soppy :-) Just kidding, this is a great bit of writing and is very inspiring. I really like the concept of feelings (confidence or happiness in this case) creeping up on you without realizing it. It is actually something that I was thinking about the other day.
