A Future Already Gone

A Future Already Gone

A Poem by Jeddie

A Future Already Gone

I wonder what the future holds,

Contemplate its affect.

I try so hard to understand,

Sit there and dissect.

Imagining all the everyday things,

The simplest you could dream.

Love, Commitment, Kids, Success,

This overlooks the extreme!

Other times, these times more few,

I shed a single tear,

Do I even hold a future?

All that’s not here is still not clear.
