I Stay Quiet

I Stay Quiet

A Poem by Ash

When I see your face

I see hearts and question marks

I'm afraid that you're going to snap at me

If I say the wrong thing

I'm afraid you'll leave me all alone

I don't want to be alone

So I keep my opinions to myself

I stay quiet and don't talk

You ask me a question and I tell you

Exactly what you want to hear

I don't say what I'm really thinking

I stay quiet and don't say what I'm really thinking

You seem not to notice my hesitation

You just keep blabbering on

While I stay quiet

I don't want to lose you

I don't want you to leave me

I don't want you to stop loving me

So I stay quiet

So sad and heart tugging, I can really feel this one.

Being quiet sometime is good. If your words causes bad reaction or anger. Real love and concern allowed conversation and question. I like the way you expressed your thoughts and the desire to keep something alive and strong. A very good ending to a excellent poem.
