puddle

puddle

A Poem by rcat

drops of rain land in the puddle
small waves move out to the water's edge
and once again the puddle is still
the reflection is near perfect
an unwavering image of the clouds up above
the delight of a child
spreads the puddle about
breaking the still picture
the water comes back together
the shaky image becomes still once more
and high above
blue sky breaks through
and gone goes the puddle
gone goes the image
our love once shimmered
an image of perfection
just a single mistep
and the image was broken
but we came back together
only to move on

beautiful reflective words about such a simple thing, with layers of thoughts and ideas behind them. I can actually picture looking at that puddle and seeing all that you speak of within.
Wonderful words. Thank you for sharing.

I've admittedly never written before coming here. I just find myself now with the time - and plenty of experiences. Writing only seemed the right thing to do. Thankyou dear boy friend for encouraging .. more..
