I Felt Connected.

I Felt Connected.

A Poem by M. M. Lovar

That night felt like a dream.  (I should have left the bed.)
It was everything I wanted.
You were everything you seemed.

We played on words quickly forgotten. (By the way, your body trembled.)
The air was sucked between your teeth.
I was pleasantly set on fire.

My soul was swallowed, with discrete. (I'd like it back, within me.)
Your tone purred against my skin.
I felt the world as one.

(I see your unfair decision, and I'll proceed to raise the question. No, I won't leave until you remind me, and make sure to explain your hand.)
