One Flew OutA Poem by M. M. Lovar
Just close yourself to whats really happening.
Blame the fire, but not the gasoline. Let the flame burn constantly, they'll all joke about this in the morning. Feeling sick of whats filling up, the dam is breaking. Your halfhearted hold is not going to save them from it's wrath. They'll all be destroyed. The branches will burn as you stand aside. Everyone's waiting to catch the ashes, as you run and hide. Leave them lying on the ground. It can walk all over them, this time, without sound. Not one breath is dear to that monster, besides it's own. There's no muscle, no soul, just brimstone. There's nothing to save if it doesn't want to be found. Let it keep laughing to the sound of muffled screams. It's voice heightened by it's cheap fuel. You'll soak in every syllable, as it vomits in your face, You just stand there and swallow. These branches will burn as you stand aside. Everyone's waiting to catch the ashes, as you run and hide. Leave them lying on the ground so that it can walk all over them, this time without sound. There's no time left for broken decisions. Evacuate the premises, or be a filthy witness. © 2013 M. M.
