Unfit.

Unfit.

A Poem by M. M. Lovar
"

I had a dream of you saying things that haunt me. How you will never love me. Well, that you love me but never in the same way.

"
They all prey.
Eat up time just to watch you decay.
Then make their way, travelling onto the next..
Spreading false hope and sneaking their noose around necks.
Imprinting such scars that you'll never forget.

How could I forget?

In that wicked, altered state, you penetrated a tired mind.
Sending shock down my spine.
Condemning a power that was mine.
Implying empty bottles were a sign.
Opposite of the ones you shot into my kind.

With one question you derailed the sublime.

I still emptied your hands of crime,

Seeked refuge in the Devine.

If only I could black out those logical words that hung by a threat.

Undenied, I'm certain now, that you've led me to my biggest regret.
