Emotions of a Monster.

Emotions of a Monster.

A Poem by M. M. Lovar

Trying not to scar myself,
I walked down the narrow hallway.
Towards the end, there stands a door.
My mind races for things to say...
For, beyond that smooth surface of wood,
stands this amazing creature.
I want to tell her how I feel,
to tell her that I need her.
But how could she ever love me?
The monster that I am.
How can I prove that appearance is nothing?
That I am truly, a real man?
She will never notice me,
I will be alone for life.
Besides, who could love a monster
with caresses made of knives?

Simple. Monsters and Men, two sides to the same coin

It's not easy trying to write from another's perspective. In that regard you were successful.
