Red Falcon: "I am not a hero"

Red Falcon: "I am not a hero"

A Poem by Chase Kopsch
"

I'm going to use this quote for "The Renegades" film for my school's film fest this year.

"
Am I a hero?
no
sometimes I ask myself
"Why do I do this?"
"Why do I do what I do?"
heh, it's simple really
I do it because it's just the right thing to do
I'm usually looked as the hero of this city
for some reason, I hate that
because deep down...
underneath this helmet
I'm just an ordinary guy you pass walking down the street to Seven Eleven
we are all just everyday people
you don't have to be a movie star
or the president of the United States
to contribute to society and make a difference
or make a change
you can be a typical teenager
a stay-at-home mother of four
or a public school teacher
YOU can contribute in SOME way to make things better
even if it's holding a door open for a stranger
helping an old man cross the street
or giving a homeless man your spare change
you may not see it
but that kindness spreads like a disease
a good disease though
making a difference...
I think that is the purpose of life
it's what I live for
it's what keeps me going
it doesn't matter what religion
if you're black or white
or what you believe in
deep down
we are all equal
we are all equal and I can see it clearly
every day
we are all human beings on this planet earth
I'm not a hero
YOU guys are the heroes
and you don't have to be super
because you are all heroes every single day
I am not a hero
nor am I a villain
I am the Red Falcon
