DON’T READ

If you opened

Then you might as well read

Just beware

That this is a poem

That has no significance

It’s just words

That are meant to disrupt

Your day

So don’t say I didn’t warn you

Not to read this

If you are still reading

Then you really don’t

Understand what “don’t” means

Well, I guess if you got here,

Then you might as well read on

Because what is the point

Of poetry?

It expresses who we are

What we have been

And what we can become

Poetry is a source of

Happiness and peace

So if you got to this point

Then you really understand what

“Don’t” means.

I guess I don't understand what don't means, so I understand how you feel. I have a friend on here that I invited, but then again I don't want them reading all my stuff. Sometimes I just want strangers to read it, that doesn't see me every day, you know? Great job!

The trap poem, telling people not to do something, becomes the only thing they must do, then again as your poem surmises that isn't always a bad thing, well done, good read.

The dont’s and do’s- if you never break the rules what fun is it??? Need to break boundaries and create ur own rules at times- yes it’s all stepping stone along this journey of self- wonderfully put together🌹
