Courage

To be you is the best example for those around you

Will I have the courage

To turn and walk away

When someone else around me

Says bad things he shouldn’t say?

Will I have the courage

To reach out and be a friend

To someone who is hurt or sad

And has a heart to mend?

Will I have the courage

To stand tall and to be strong

When tempted by another

To do things I know are wrong?

Yes! I’ll have the courage

To do these things and more.

I won’t wait until I’m tempted;

I’ll decide before!

I’ll decide this very minute

To be courageous, brave, and true

And try to be an example

In all I say and do.
