Disasters

Disasters

A Poem by C. Lee Battaglia
"

We all in our lives have had that time where we were down in the dumps.

"
DISASTERS
C. Lee Battaglia

When your very own globe,
Starts to shake,
Creating cracks and earth quakes,
Done with the shaking,
You realize the disasters.
The sky is full of dust,
The ground is full of holes,
Your glass showing the world, slowly shatters.
When I try to fix the breaking surroundings,
My life is a mess of glue,
Trying to place my mess,
Back around to the missing corners.
When I was alone, I was in darkness.
I needed people to light the way for me,
But now it’s just me and the worlds disasters.
People wondered what I’d become,
But really, no one actually knows.
Maybe I’m just part of a disaster.
No, I can’t be fixed.
Because I’m a disaster,

Waiting to happen

those little globes, we shake and then there is snow...but here we shake and the earth moves and people are crushed...i liken this to an allegory of how hearts are broken by relationship disasters...
there are cracks/fissures in the glass...and all the glue in the world can't hold it together...
sometimes our lives are hanging on by duct tape...
sooner or later we fall apart...

I believe we are all disasters waiting to happen. Honestly, I'm a disaster waiting to happen daily. I get what you mean though, and when you backtrack, you see how it could've been different if you did something else. Life is unexpected and we must love the mess we have or at least learn to live with it. Great Job!

Hard to watch the news. So many problems. Nature raising cane and so many people are suffering.
"Maybe I’m just part of a disaster.
No, I can’t be fixed.
Because I’m a disaster,"
I do understand the above lines. I feel like hiding in the forest and to wait for he ending sometime. Thank you my friend for reading and the comment.
