CloverA Poem by C. Lee Battagliafind the luckClover
There sat a man Peeking over the edge Wondered about life Wondered about his precious soul He cried and yelled at the wind, No matter, oh I’ll find a way And so he carried on with his life Walked he went back to the city Back at the wind, humming a song, Before he knew it he was back at the cliff He breathed in and peek over the edge, No matter, oh I’ll find a way Life had gone smooth and slow for the man, He though had doubted his dreams Unsure of what to become or what to do, All he did was walked on through Always heading back to the cliff He leaned towards the wind and whispered, No matter, oh I’ll find a way He went back to his small house In he went Went down to bed Didn’t come up till dawn, Outside he went to his garden Inside was produce of all sorts But what most caught his eye was a small 4 leafed clover A hope of reassurance entered his soul The burning words spoke in his mind, No matter, oh I’ll find a way © 2016 C.
