When Will it Stop?

As I walked down the hallway, I thought to myself, “When will it stop?”

I saw several people being physically and verbally bullied. I don’t truly understand how people get pleasure out of hurting someone else.

To me it’s painful and sometimes feels like that they will never stop so you should just accept whatever they say.

I have been bullied for standing up for others. The people who bully me say really, LIKE really rude your mom jokes that have been painful to hear. I just think to myself, “Why would someone ever say that about my mother or any mother for ‘FUN’? My mother gave birth to me and I love her beyond words.”

People don’t really realize what the damage of words could do to someone. Words are powerful and should be used wisely and for the right purpose.

Words might seem simple.

But words are even more powerful than a fist.

Words can be a great comforter and a great story to hear or read.

Careful how you use your words because one day a friend or person you were, “Joking around with” might decide to take his or her life and dreams with them.

So here is the question again, “When will it stop?”

“When will it stop?!?

Wow, I don't think I can agree with you more, my friend. You know as a student in high school, I can't really say I see a lot of bullying going on, but I know that it's a major problem that's going on and will always go on, unless someone really puts a stop to it. It starts with the parents to the inside of the child's mind and heart to the teachers and administrators at the school or wherever the bullying is going on. And you know what adults get bullied too, and it's sad, because some people think that bullying stops when you grow up and you know what, we all hope and pray that it does, but it just doesn't. I love that you stick up for those victims and please don't mind what those bullies say about you, because your sticking up for the victim. Really they're just insecure with themselves. I don't know if you're a believer in God, but all I know is that we can try to stop it when we see it and when we hear about it, but what I do know is that God will take care of them when the day comes. Overall I love the write!!!! Keep writing my friend!!!

I have to say I really respect you for your poems, stories, and thoughts on so many topics. I respect how you make a difference by bringing up so many questions to our minds, questions that people should think about much more often.

I fully agree with you. To be bullied is a painful experience. I appreciate the way you have brought out the inherent power of words...... for good and for bad. I look forward to taking time off to go through all the words you've put in the numerous posts here.....

words are the greatest weapon in existence
that's why cyber bullying is to terrible

as we know, it's not just in the halls at school or in our neighborhoods
it's here online as well, and those are the most treacherous bullies of all...

if anything this raises awareness of the ongoing social epidemic

Bullies are terrible. I've been talked about behind my back...literally (like, don't they know that I can hear them?), called names, and straight out told that I should just leave because I don't belong here, shoved into lockers, slammed into walls, and...sorry, just a little rant there. Anyway, I agree with you. Bullies need to be stopped.
