I once knew a dreamer,

Blonde hair, blue eyes,

People say that she was quite a beamer,

There's something deep she hides,

and I can't stop thinking,

I wish I could see her again,

again

I once knew a dreamer

I wish I could see you again

you really are quite a dreamer,

I once knew a dreamer,

I wish I could see you once again,

you really are a dreamer,

Your smile is the cleaner,

That wipes all my fears,

You really were a cheer,

Now when your gone, I remember my dreamer,

your lovely smile,

that would make me beam

I once knew a dreamer,

You really were my dreamer!

Author's Note

Suicide sucks! I wish sometimes they realized that they are loved even though they don't realize it.
Help me take a stand and love those who least deserve it because thats when they need it most!

I'm with you on this! Very strong subject to touch on, because it's something that goes on all the time. I've had someone at my school that committed suicide about three years ago over being bullied and you know I still don't understand to this day, why? She was beautiful! She was sweet! I don't understand why people have to be so insecure with themselves and make the victim take their lives for their doing. I just don't understand. People like us need to stick up for the ones that are getting bullied and say something. Put the bully in their own place! Great and inspirational write! Keep writing!

Very touching poem, and its meanings are very clear. I nearly lost three friends to suicide, one very recently actually. I thank God every day that they didn't actually go through with it.

[Coyote Poetry]

Suicide is hard to understand. I lost two brothers to suicide one year apart in 1988 and 1989. Last month. Family friend killed himself. Left no note and a few good-bye words on his phone.
"I once knew a dreamer,
A Dreamer
You really were my dreamer!"
Hard to save someone who leave no signs. Just give-up. I believe all we can do is be kind, show concern and lead with love. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.

that's true.. its painful to see someone end their own life without realizing how much their are loved. And its much more painful for the love ones left behind...
