A magnificently beautiful story ... Some might say that it was sad to read, and did not have a happy ending ... But I say, this story is perfect in that perfect timing of two people meeting, clueless that they would ever meet, who needed someone special in their lives at that precise moment in time. She gave you something no one else ever could have, and you gave her more than you will ever know, even though you do know ... This story is tender and touching to the very core of any heart that has ever had a first crush or first love, especially someone as special as I see that she was to you ... And you to her ... A wonderful memorial to her memory in keeping her memory alive ... Thank you for sharing ... Very well written ...

Wow! Its so powerful how this story goes from the simple and sweet perspective to an older more mature relationship. You can feel the passing of time and really emphasize with both of the main characters. I love how pure the love feels. Wonderful!

I love this. We dont know what others are truly going through, do we? In highschool i couldn't bare seeing anyone left out. Totally broke my heart. I knew how i was so i tried to treat everyone as my bestfriend (self harm suicidal at the time but no one knew. Everyone thought i was fine.) My thoughts were if i can't save myself i'm going to save them. This is a beautiful story and shows the good in others. Great write my friend.

This was a beautifully constructed story. Like to kill a mockingbird you have artfully used not only the story of a child trapped/destroyed but really expressed it through their voice, with the simple language, childish terms especially the very start when you used the phrase 'the bully said' I totally believed the 7 year old's voice. The horrific illnesses are always worse when inflicted on those who are completely innocent.
It is a story we all know has been the reality of too many.
Thank you for recommending me to read this I don't see enough stories on here, especially not of this quality.

I think her purpose in life was to make a difference in your's. She made you believe in yourself, and that is a lesson we all learn in time. As long as you keep writing, she'll always be by your side, giving you the support and love you so unconditionally gave to her. But you have something more than most of us get in life - you have your own angel!

Amazing wonderful beautiful and made me want to cry- your words are deep and meaningful and I’m so sad and sorry for your loss but you will always be together forever- Dolly Partons song Together You And I- so many people that are worse off than us and people don’t take time for eachother too full of judgemental attitudes- I’m so glad you two were blessed to have eachother live eachother and you came together for a reason and a season- some questions will never get answered I guess- just a beautiful heart touching story🌹
