Let go or continue

Let go or continue

A Poem by charmel

Those decades of mem’ries we’ve had,

Would it be enough?

To hold back these tears

And consume all the fears,

To endure the pain as thorns pierced inside

To pretend I’m happy, but then I’ve lied.

Would I be a martyr of this relationship?

Or would I just flee and aboard a ship?

My heart’s saying “I can’t hold it anymore”

My mind whispers “bear it a lil more.”

To say “sorry” it’s always me

End of war, I’m always the key

All you’ve had is your hardened pride

You’re like the sea with its changing tide.
