Number One

Number One

A Poem by charlotte talley
"

this is a little poem I wrote about life together with your better half. now of course God is number one, so don't forget that.

"

Number One

number one, that's me.

atleast that's what I see.

I remember the good old days.

you and I never minded our ways.

There was nothing to stop us.

not even the ride on the bus.

The two of us walking hand in hand.

Believeing on our stand.

Drinking from the same glass.

Just waiting on time to pass.

Now that the years have flown by.

All we have are growns and sighs.

I need to know that I'm still number one in your life.

Because the one thing I know that is I'm still your wife.

Luckily when my husband was alive he showed me every courtesy and lots of care. Family say he spoiled me, I like to think we spoiled each other. Valentine

Its okay, very nice flow... but I think you meant "groan" when you said "grown"...Believing is spelled wrong. Glad to see you still writing!
