A Prayer to the Lord

A Prayer to the Lord

A Poem by charlotte talley
"

this is a prayer that I pray nearly every night.

"

O' LORD OF MOST HIGH

Pass the birds that fly.

I see as far as I can.

nobody knows where I stand.

Only you Lord of most high.

Only you know my sigh.

I pray for those who can and can't do.

I also pray for me to.

With this being said.

We all will be paid.

Lord thank you for hearing my plea.

Now I can go to sleep.

I see a trend in your writing towards spirituality and the lord. This must be very important to you because it seems to be a common theme in your poems. I found some things that might need some tweaking, for example "Only you Lord of most high." I know what you're trying to say with this but it comes across sloppy. Also, I'm not sure if you were trying or not trying to rhyme, which is totally okay either way, but if you were attempting to rhyme I have to mention that your lines "With this being said. We all will be paid," do not rhyme. But I'm not sure if that was your intention just giving you my 2 cents. Other then that I can see the subject matter is heartfelt and genuine which is what I like. So keep at it.

sounds like a nice bedtime prayer, your other reviewers seem to have said everything else that needs to be said here. Grammar wise and so forth. The poem itself was nice and it sounds like it was personal to you so thank you for sharing.

First, thanks for the review! Second, I adore this poem. Im going through hard times right now and I know that the Lord is keeping me strong and he will save me soon, he's just got a lot to do right now haha. Anyways, this poem reminded me that there is a reason to have hope and I lovee the way it just seems to flow so simply, yet so elagantly. It was extremely enjoyable, thank you for sharing it with the world.
