often, Hoping to see your
face, But their aim was all
off balance, They couldn’t match
our pace. The smile I have is
blissful, I remember yours was
too, I wish I had a photo, For me to cling on to, Instead I have this
snapshot, Not much to see at
all, But, ah, the
bittersweet, The highs before the
fall, Too soon you had left
me, Afraid and all alone, It wasn't meant to
be, No calm after our
storm, So now I have this
snapshot, Your face nowhere to
be seen, I sigh and look back
often, At what we might have
