Have You EverA Poem by CharlesUsed shoes fit better than puzzle pieces...much love and respect to b. boyd.
To give up and forget all the pain is just not possible
So do what you have to just don't toss any straws For all the hay you raise there's a foundation ready to crack So we'll keep this drama as real As the limits of fiction will allow I'd tell you to walk a mile but that path's grown over I'd show you a tree that fell and now it's a bridge I'd love you to see what it all looks like Because it's nothing you haven't ever seen Think about it, secerts are very seductive But keeping secrets can be so very lonely Why don't we take a trip, just like Leo and Cate The ice is on the way so we can toast the drink together I'd tell you to read between the lines but words are inked invisible I'd show you the poetry that floats and falls but is mistaken for prose I'd love you to see the waves meet me at the center of it all Because it's nothing you haven't ever seen If we gave it all our focus and attention We'd only end up ignoring each other I'd tell you to dream of a tree
I'd show you the relics of an accident I'd love you to become me Because it's like nothing you've ever seen © 2011 CharlesReviews
