more or less

more or less

A Poem by Charles

the faintest wisp
of a will to be more
than what you are today
can come through
the window sill like
the light of day,
through the blinds,
warm and silent,
moving slowly across
the room as you wait.
to be bathed in that
light is like a cleansing
of your spirit,
but it is only
a glimmer of what
you can be,
a sensation of a
real thing that
exists both
inside and out.
no...to be more today
than yesterday allowed
you must raise the blinds,
open the window,
and soak in the glow
of the day.
because true change
can only happen when
what happens inside
shows on the outside,
and there is a big difference
between the superficial
and the existential.

I Find No Peace I find no peace, and all my war is done; I fear, and hope. I burn, and freeze like ice. I fly above the wind, yet can I not arise. And naught I have, and all the worl.. more..
