How

How

A Poem by charleybear

Will i ever find my feet,

will you take a walk with me,

How is it that i fall,

when i battle to stand tall,

Will i ever be good enough for you,

with anything i do,

How do you make me cry

when defiantly i say you wont

WIll your words kill me

i don't think so but they will cut me deep

How can you cause such pain

verbal blades slicing through

WIll it end one day

How will it end?

I think there are two possibilities that a poem like this could lead to. When other lash out at you and it cuts like steel, they do it for two major reasons...the first..the need to feel powerfull, the other is because part of them see's you as weak and they attack to try and bring out your inner strength.

I don't think this is a poem of second guessing.. I would say it's a poem about pondering how to end the pain.

Everyone has a sword of strength within them. It sound's like whats needed is to draw that sword and when next you are attacked...block...parry..and state flattly..."NO MORE" When they see that inner fire inside you... they will either back down and run... or throw up a white flag of truce.

Great Ink!

I thought this piece was lovely. Thinking about stopping the pain is a step closer to stopping it. Nicely penned.

There seems to be a lot of second guessing...

"How is it that i fall,
when i battle to stand tall,
Will i ever be good enough for you,
with anything i do,"

There is emotion here...this was well written and I thought it flowed well!
