lose yourself

lose yourself

A Poem by charleybear

Blood pumping;

Through her veins, it goes running,

Oxygen starved lungs,

To the finish line

She comes;

Sweat dripping off her face

In her mind she goes to a place,

Where she is safe and sound.

The thoughts no longer

Flying round and round.

Running away from my problems was always my way of dealing with things. This was a very enjoyable piece.

hmmm... Running from some thing that happened to her perhaps? Finding safety in a net of no thought? It would be nice to blank out that which is bothering us. As they say... Ignorance is bliss.

This was a thought provoking piece. Well penned.
