A BLIND MAN

A BLIND MAN

A Poem by charles Jenkins
"

just an experience I had

"

A blind man living on the street

trying to find work

just to make ends meet

He once held a job

that made him so proud

it took away his eyesight

but never made him frown

A blind man ask for some money

will you give or take away

just sit back and think for a moment

maybe this is you someday

A blind man needs some help

crossing a lonely street

the street was dark and empty

but where he slept under a sheet

The blind man was a soldier

a long long time ago

he fought for us a time or two

and even helped us grow

so when you see that blind man

offer him a warm meal

he has a heart of gold

and alot of love to share

offer him a warm bed

cuz the blind man

helped us enough to care.
