His words

His words

A Poem by essie

His words are like a snake.
Every time he talks, I get scared.
His words are fire.
They hurt me.
They scare me.
They damage me.
They bring me pain.
When he enters the room, i am scared.
I know he is trying to be a father.
He tries and tries.
 I know.
He makes me cry.
He makes my body cold.
Every time he talks. I shake.
I am paralyzed by his words.
Makes me feel I have to be the perfect daughter.
I am not perfect dad.
I am a mess.
Your daughter is a mess.

Gee
Hmmmm, a father should be there to love, protect, encourage, he is the one person in the world you should be able to turn to for anything, he should not in any way shape of form be your poem.
