Phone Call

Phone Call

A Poem by essie

I wonder if you are doing okay.
Sometimes I just want to hear your voice again,
I know you wouldn't want to speak to me.
I just want to hear the phone ring,
I know you won't answer back.
I wonder if you are treating her right.
If she knows the nightmares you gave me.
If she knows the anxiety you caused me.
If she knows the damage you have done to my heart.
I can imagine the love you are giving her.
I can wonder the adventures you are going on with her.
I can only imagine, because I was never treated like a princess with you.
You said, you loved me.
I said I loved you.
In the end you broke my heart.
