The Sea and The Stars

The Sea and The Stars

A Poem by xaotica

Beautiful is she, the lovely lady we call the Sea,

I long to visit her, as she cradles the sun to sleep.

I’d love to sit and watch as she caresses the warm land,

And i’d lay my ear upon the earth, to hear her soft waves upon the sand,

Behind me, the trees would gently sway,

As the moon arises, to put to rest another day.

I’d let the world around me send me to my dreamscape,

The twinkling stars above me, promise to watch over me till’ i wake.

Gee
Takes me back to a recent holiday where I would be coaxed into sleep by the sound of the sea gently lapping the shore. Bliss.
Enjoyed reading this and the memories raised.
