Ambiguity

Ambiguity

A Poem by Brian Custer

Ambiguity

Brian Custer

Who’s there and who can see,

What I am and what I'll be?

Going to run, can't take it anymore,

Make a stop at the liquor store...

Even though I need no more,

Can’t stop this revolving door!

Who’s there and who can see,

What I am and where I'll flee?

Going to take the highest road,

Can’t go back, it's just too cold,

(Then there are those I never told)

Where I am going and what I'll do,

How I am going to make it through...

These days of fighting,

These days of sin,

Can’t rely on the corporate man!

When it's over and when it's done,

Why are we standing there?

Just waiting for the sun?

Taking ours and cashing in,

To the bank (the bitter end)

Who is there and who will see,

Where I go and who I'll be?

In the end no one cares,

Who you are and why or where...

Really don't care for how you did,

Or what you have done or

Will you again...

Treasure you and story me,

Won’t get lost and I have the key...

Who is there and who can see,

Why this means so much to me?

All in all...I know this my friend...

I just can't wait for it all to begin
