No colorsA Poem by Jessica Lynn Polley
Is it right to see the colors that I keep from you?
They are bright and they are beautiful but they don't shine the way you do. They do not kiss like the sun, or fall like the rain, you know the silly wind still tries to whisper your sweet name. In a world of blacks and whites, in a world with no here nor there, in a place of stagnant existence, there are no colors anywhere. That is where I will take you I will keep you in this place, where we will compromise its beauty by painting in shades of grey. You are the sweet taste on my lips, you are the heat in my skin, and you are the craving that my heart gets when it is begging to cave in. You are the only reason that I try, the only secret I will ever keep, is the harsh truth in the colors that you to good for me. © 2014 Jessica Lynn PolleyReviews
