Monster

Monster

A Poem by Jessica Lynn Polley

My face burns, my hands tremble, and my heart races...
To hell with all these burnt smiles and all these twisted faces.
I am so sick, can't you see I am so f*****g sick...
my stay in reality is over and you were a part of it.
Days of love are long gone. I am empty in side,
because when the fire swallowed you I could not hide...

Your hands on my skin sent ice through my veins,
when a little girls dreams always end the same.
Awakened in the night to a devils touch...
and a monster in my ear says that he cant get enough.

You left me in your mess and I am still cleaning...
picking away the parts of you that just wont leave me.
You know you managed to ruin everything, everything to this day,
because I am still fucked up 11 years after you walked away.
A bullet to your head, oh how inviting...
so I picked up the pen then and I am still writing.

Your hands on my skin sent ice through my veins,
when a little girls dreams always end the same.
Awakened in the night to a devils touch...
and a monster in my ear says that he cant get enough.

Author's Note

Jessica Lynn Polley
This is very raw and real and all together hard to share but these words have been stepping on my brain for to long now. This poem is not open to edit not because it wont need it but because I do not want to suffer through it again, with that being said I would still love to know what you think.

Very moving Jessica as I am sure I know more of this than the speculation some readers may engage in. I will not bother critique as I know you are not going to edit. I would just like to express that I will always be available any time of day or night if you want to talk. Not even about this, even if you just want to talk for the satisfaction of being heard.

Love you.

Very heavy...you're very brave for sharing this. I can relate, as a female, how wicked the world can seem when one encounters the wrong people, especially of the opposite sex, as you put in "Awakened in the night to a devils touch...
and a monster in my ear says that he cant get enough."
I'm glad that you shared, it helps to know one is never alone in the world.
