Crack and crumbleA Poem by Jessica Lynn Polley
Crack and crumble and fall for me,
let love portray what we could never be. If I let your light take my dark, will you be there for me when I fall apart? You see my dark helps to hide my cracks, and the parts of me that I will never get back... From all the times I have fallen before, I have lost so much I can not lose much more. You see I do not wish to take from you, these irreplaceable pieces I have suffered through. I do not wish to cause you pain, but I am shaking with fear at what still remains. When the light comes on and you see my flaws, will you regret loving me after the fall? If it breaks you how could I live with myself, having revealed to you what I hid so well? The hardest part about loving you is to see, all the parts that I still hate about me. © 2014 Jessica Lynn PolleyReviews
