Fail to see the starsA Poem by Jessica Lynn Polley
Sleeping with translucent eyelids
and you still fail to see the stars when waking to the white noise it all you hope for, its all you are. For what kind of life is tangible when you have lost the ability to breathe? And what kind of hope still holds you with no stars to help you see? No guidance through cold and living fear that squeezes tight from the inside. No one to tare down all of the monsters that are watching from the sky. With shackled hands and shackled feet... your chains are drawing pictures in the sand. A heart that breaks with every step as love slips right through your hands. You live as less but think of more while thoughts are thoughts and nothing else. Nothing real has changed here and you have become less real than yourself. Change unreal and far away like visions fighting in your eyes but what you see here is false hope and you should not even try. You see no one stops to point the way and no one stops to breathe the toxic air inside your head or the demons that they don't even see! When life is gone and love is gone and everything is painted red... When the hope is weak but the chains are strong and dreams have long been dead... When there is no where to stop and nothing to do... and your haven't one safe place to hide all the while fighting fears like pulling teeth because you just can't kill the one inside! Remember this place as your only truth let the monsters become your friends. Bow down to the unrelenting evil that will surely come for you again. Join the march to heavens gates and break what you can not have to love is to loose to loose is to hate so love like the love wont last! When everything is temporary you can find comfort in short live pain, solace in the tears you did not cry, and maybe even a chance to feel sane. Take pride in the crack you do not have and use it to fill the ones that you do... Until you get all of the smooth and shiny back to the prideful lies that protect you.
