In the hands of man.A Poem by Jessica Lynn Polley
What if it is all a lie?
Everything that you know... Twisted by the hands of men, who could not let there power go. Tell me when did all the dragons die? With the memory still in mind. They once ruled the sky... Lost in the ashes of time. When did all the mermaids leave? There sweet song still rings. I beckons to the sailors soul... you know they still hear them sing. What of the giants? The nephilim born of sin, a mistake that the unmistakable will never make again. A flood that cleansed the earth, in a time were magic ruled. With stary eyes they could not see the great threat the loomed. God washed his hands of the stars and warned of there potential, to open up to a world that we could never handle He let the unicorns die in the hands of Constantine a man with a pagan heart that changed absolutely everything. Vampires are now but myths, while Bigfoot was the great survivor he learned to hide himself in a world of hateful fire. You think my ideas silly... but a part of you believes... it is the question in that back of you mind that whispers of distant dreams. Where did we go wrong? You see we do not deserve these magical things, they do not deserve to be here... so they left riding the dragons wings. Washed away from memory By men with a greater need. Authority and magic do not blend... they break on bended knee. So kiss the truth goodbye, it flew into the sun... in a never ending fairy tail, the truth was kept from everyone. © 2014 Jessica Lynn PolleyReviews
