love lost

I loved you so much, 

Why did you throw me over?

And take another as your lover,

Was I not good enough?

You left me crying and alone. 

No hope, no love, devastated.

You said no one else 

Would ever love me.

It was true, 

You left me so blue, 

To spend lonely days, 

And tear filled nights

Thinking of you.

All hope is gone, 

Only desolation remains.

Someday when I die,

I'll ask God, "Why?"
