Ghost Car—Original Urban Legend

Ghost Car—Original Urban Legend

A Chapter by Steven Cash
"

Enjoy folk. 3rd Urban Legend today

"

            Sure, you’ve been there before.

Out on the highway alone, at night, nobody else on the road. It happens plenty of times to everybody. It’s normal

Except for if you are driving down I-270 in Maryland. If you are driving down there at night alone, you will see that car in your rearview mirror. And the car is fast approaching.

The car will change lanes and attempt to pass you on the left.

Whatever you do, do not look at the driver of said car.

This is said to be the ‘ghost car’ of Robert Givens. He is a driver who was driving alone on said road when he lost control and crashed, being killed on impact.

So, again if you see the car do not look into the window and try to see the driver. Sometimes, according to survivors, he may even honk his horn or let down his window.

If this happens, speed up, or even get off the highway.

A foolish few have looked into the driver’s seat of said car.

Each of them has a cross on the side of the road for where they died.

This one is interesting, but not as strong as some of your other stories. If I were to be on that highway and saw a random car fast approaching, my automatic instinct would be to look into the other car. If there were more detail about the car itself, say a color and a distinctive characteristic of it, then I would find the story more believable. Just a word of advice. Good thought though!
