Midnight

Midnight

A Poem by Steven Cash

Hold her while she is here
No matter how long
Cause the clock will soon strike midnight and she will be gone

Don't take her for granted
Look into her eyes
Be with her when she is happy
And hold her when she cries

Don't waste time looking
Searching for someone else
Love her for who she is
Make your words heartfelt

She's the one you need
It's simple, I will explain
Tell her you love her
Don't let her slip away

They said it and its true
Don't let fear blind your
sight
Sometimes the hardest thing
And the right thing are alike

So speak up and say it
Take her for your own
Hold her forever
And never let her go

Don't think your job is over
When you are one
Cause love is a process
Never stop til life is done

So tell her how you feel
You may not have long
Cause the clock will soon strike midnight
And she will be gone

You're welcome, friend.
I like this a lot! I'm not good with poems, and i don't know what to look for in them exactly, but i liked the flow of it and the meaning behind it. only thing is to change site to sight. But we all have those little brain farts now and then haha.

The first and last stanza reminds me of the song "Cinderella" by Steven Curtis Chapman I think. Nice job. There were a few misspellings, though.

Oh... Cinderella, huh? I hate some usual fairytales with useless princes who needs divine intervention to find their princess... Good write Keep writing
