the lioness and the moon

the lioness and the moon

A Poem by Chandradhish Ghosh

The dusk went past, the moon came up...

The lioness woke from her sleep

She did not kill, she did not sup

Nor did she make one leap

After a while, a cloud came by

The moon hid quiet and slow

The lioness then, let out a sigh

As the moon saw her bask in his glow.
