ShadowsA Poem by ChampagneDeepest Fears
Yesterday they were
beneath three-legged stools lurking or my mind playing a trick - oily lamps paving the way fearful as they were. Is this numbness? Or the usual mischief of the mind? But they come, they come eating walls and floors. Shaggy little beasts. Paralyzing yellow threats. My sanity whirlwind falling into deep crevices something restful, to be grasped, still.
