Love Song

Love Song

A Poem by Charles D. Moorer

Love Song
Br James Rodney Moorer

In the wee dark hours of the morning, I sing my love song to you unfettered by daylight cares.

It is pure, deeply serenading.

I rush, but remember it is a love song not to be hurried, enjoyed as the aroma of a brew steeped just right, steam rising off the top, to be inhaled deeply, savored, remembered, lived again and again, without benefit of commercial interruption.

It is the song I sing.
