Ferris Wheel

As I sat, I saw the night sky

Stars smiling, birds flying high

Never in my life had I felt this free

All I wanted was to shout-out with glee

 

The ride starts, I heaved a sigh

A sigh of contentment, fears saying goodbye

The moment I saw the captivating view

My heart leapt, and I’m overwhelmed anew

 

The ride paused at the top

My breathing almost stopped

The ride ended, my heart felt forlorn

For that was the memorable thing I had that I never felt torn.
