Time

Time

A Poem by Chadvonswan
"

Tick

"
Black tiles
Painted white
Secret files out of sight
Falling into the sky
And landing on our feet
A bucketful of clouds
Poured down the drain
I turn on a hose
And it sprays oil
Turning my hands black
The grass is a gray memory
Of when there was water
And the knife in the dead sod
Is a dream of when there was
You's and me's
Killing each other
Just to pass the time

*******

A New World
Overflowing with
Rocks and color
Receding waters
And moonless nights
Money is
Trampled in the dirt
And every man
For himself
Pockets heavy
With bullets
Painting cathedral walls
Red with
Spilled blood
Coating the door knobs
With piss
Taking
What is not
Yours
Oh Mara,
If you could see the
Soil now

Love that s**t Max. Nice expressive poem here, paints a dusty disillusioned word photo of the Ranchos.
There is one part that throws off the rhythm, for me anyway. A bucketful of clouds 'has been'. The 'has been' takes me out of this great rhythm you created. Nothing major. Keep em tummin.

Yeah ofcourse brah, Ey send me a message with your address
Clocks are scary things... but I think it's more so the concept of time itself. There's no stopping it, and it has seen everything that has ever happened or existed. It knows everyone's secrets, yet hide it from the people in the present.
Your poem made me think of just how much time is not in our control. Well done! :)
