Stranded

Stranded

A Poem by Chadvonswan
"

hopelessness....

"
Stranded:
my strength
my strength is limited
when I'm lost at sea
with no boat
with nothing to grab a
hold to
nothing but
the water
and my arms
and legs
struggle to keep
my head above
the cold water and
I LAUGH
sometimes
when I feel
the fish
tickle my naked
feet
biting
at my
toes
and all
at once
I realize I have a phone in my pocket
and I take it out of the dead water
and give you a call
my last call
and I say
I need your help
I'm stranded in the middle
of an
ocean
and you say
I'm sorry
but if I come
save you
the ocean will
electrocute
us
you hang up
and the static
voice
that lingers
wet in my ears,
wet in my eyes,
the voice
apologizes

what a terrible poem !!!!!
and by terrible I mean fabulous!!
it was simple direct, meaningless to the naked eye, meaningful to the naked soul.
I love it
