Crooked RoadA Poem by ChadvonswanLost
Squares of light reflect off my scapula
Strands of hair fall from grace Life is one big slap in the face Dissolving all the taste Pushing you into haste What do you really deserve? Why do you choose to question When all you have to do is listen Driving on an abandoned road Stopping at a dry gas station Gargling the dust in the air Choking on scalding car exhaust You are the motor now Flesh stripped to metal Bare as a f*****g kettle Pressure in your head, screaming Shouting, Crying, Questioning Cursing your God, blaming Him Burning your oil into clouds of hate God sends rain to rust your machine Washes away the smoke and the dust Sprouts a seed in your lung Exhale your final question S**t out your only answer There is no adequate solution to this Saluting the driver in your head Small hands at the controls, driving you Driving you to the edge The cliff of demise Grab the sprouting vines and pull
