PARALLELOGRAMS

PARALLELOGRAMS

A Poem by Chad M. Horn
"

Acrostic, Spenserian Rhyme Scheme Sonnet

"
Plotting our pairing as a polygon
Aware of perpendicular points shared
Rendered on graph paper with red crayon
Angled at ends, (so as not to be squared)
Leveled, self-centered, precisely prepared
Lengthening our path of least resistance
Equalateral qualities compared
Linear life-lines in coexistance
One-dimensional, straight-edge assistance
Geometric progression is treasured
Reduced to fraction, increasing distance
Area 'unknown' can not be measured
Mangled measurements become entangled
Symmetric slopes unevenly angled
