epic poem

i would like to
write an epic
poem some day.
with kings and queens
and knights and dragons;
knights dying
while fighting dragons.
knights dying in
honor. me dying,
dying for honor, for
immortality. a poem
to speak, a
poem to shout, to
whisper. it would take
pages, it would
take years. it
would take thousands of
voices to sing one
song. all while i
am dead, for it took
a lifetime to write
an epic poem;
life could be
that song.

I liked this very much. Epic not that of Mike Patton's song for which I thought for a minute it might be....but alas you've surprised me and written an EPIC POEM all your own. You didn't have to wait a life time. xo -D.E.
