Gild MeA Poem by ChaddleAn Ode to the USA. I wrote this out of frustration after the housing meltdown, but I believe it reflects the current state of American affairs quite well.
American Dreams and Ponzi Schemes
That will be my creed! I'll sign my soul away and then today, I'll plant my money seed. With this plan, I can be the man, my culture worked so hard to breed because I'm told life's just fine when gold and wine, are your only things you need. Forget health, I'll have wealth, that I'll acquire with such speed. and when I'm done with that journey, I'll hire an attorney and off my neighbors' pockets I can feed. they'll see friends and I'll see means to ends, and in the courts they will plead. Do you think happiness will come if I succumb to that wonderful sin of Greed? © 2016 ChaddleAuthor's Note
