Love and Ash

Love and Ash

A Poem by Sean J. Dezse

Love and Ash

Three days it has been
Three days of filth
Haven't showered in three days

The ash from my cigarettes covers my hands
The stench becomes stale
Sickening

Still you don't love me
I don't think you love anyone
But you

If you did
It would be me
Not the hollow low-lives

Pretending to be
Any more than the ash
I kick under my feet

interesting poem depicting the emotions of a person expressing the love he has for a girl who doesnt love him back.
I like the emotions and pain
nice expressions and nicely worded
suggestion; ' i dont think you love anyone but yourself'
not 'you'
this was an interesting and well worded poem !!

I love to write to help understand myself and others. For me, writing is a way to try and make sense of the illogical: life. more..
